Passing error from PDF to Assembler

Hi,

We have a issue in that we have to signal an error late in the PDF event, around layout:ready.  In preview, we can set the appropriate field, but when called from the process, the field is not set.

For background, the LiveCycle install is ES2 with Output being the only extra installed.

So, is there a known way to set the form field so late in the process, or is there a way to throw an exception from the PDF to be caught by Generator?
